Events at the Jio World Convention Centre bring large crowds to Bandra Kurla Complex, and hotels inside the district tend to be priced for business travel. If you're searching for hotels near Jio World Convention Centre Mumbai, a stay in neighbouring Kurla is an option, with trade-offs. This guide sets out those trade-offs and the questions to ask before you book.
What Is On at the Convention Centre?
The centre hosts trade exhibitions through the year. Event listing sites currently show India Design (9 to 11 October), Design Mumbai (19 to 22 November) and the India International Cargo Show (2 to 4 December), among others. Dates can change, so confirm them on each event's own website before you book a room.
Where Is the Convention Centre, and Where Is the Hotel?
The convention centre is at Jio World Centre, G Block, Bandra Kurla Complex, Bandra East, Mumbai 400051. Hotel Kohinoor Elite is in Kurla West, off LBS Road, roughly 2 to 3 km from BKC depending on the route.
We haven't published a door-to-door time to the convention centre, because it changes with traffic and with event days. Ask the hotel for a current estimate before you decide.
When Does Staying Outside BKC Make Sense?
|
Your situation |
Does a Kurla stay fit? |
|
Exhibitor with an early setup day |
Possible, but plan an early start. Ask about early breakfast and late check-in. |
|
Visitor for a single day |
Works if the commute suits you. Compare the cost of a room inside BKC for one night. |
|
Delegate on a multi-day stay |
Often a good fit, since included meals and Wi-Fi cut daily costs. Confirm what your rate includes. |
|
Attending evening receptions |
Check how late the return journey will be and allow extra time. |
|
Need to walk to the halls |
Not a fit. Choose a hotel inside BKC. |
It won't put you next to the halls. You'll be travelling to and from BKC each day, and roads around the district can be slow on busy event days. If minutes matter more than cost, a hotel inside BKC is the better choice.
What Does the Hotel Include That Helps on Event Days?

What Should You Ask Before Booking an Event Stay?
- What's the door-to-door travel time to the convention centre at event hours, and which route is best?
- Can breakfast start early, and is late check-in possible after a setup day or a late finish?
- What are the cancellation terms if the event dates change?
- Can the hotel issue a GST invoice with your company details?
- Are there rates for several rooms, such as for an exhibitor team?
- What does your rate include in meals, since inclusions can differ by rate plan?
